African Black Soap is one of the most gentle soaps available. Its simple, pure ingredients include a high percentage of unrefined shea butter (48%), virgin palm kernel oil and potash made from plantain leaves and the bark of the Agow tree found in Togo, West Africa. The soap comes from Togo and is made according to organic and fair trade guidelines. Gentle and soothing for the most sensitive of skin, this soap can be used from head to toe.
* Gently cleanse both body and hair
* Unscented, with no added chemicals
* High amounts of shea butter will moisturize and soften skin
Two sizes are available for this soap: 2 oz of shreds or a 4 oz chunk. Shreds are small pieces that can be used individually or wet slightly and hand molded into a soap ball. Some find it easier to bathe with the shreds, using only a small piece with each bath or shower. Alternatively, a 4 oz chunk of soap can be purchased. The chunks are hand cut and do not have the uniform measurements of a standard bar of soap. Both the shreds and the bar are packaged in a clear compostable bag.
African Black Soap may develop white spots when exposed to air. This does not mean the soap has gone bad, it's just absorbing moisture from the air. Keep the soap in a dry location and in a sealed back until ready for use.
